Product Description: Naiocast Mediation Server Make Rogue Amoeba's Nicecast working over firewall and NAT *Naiocast is a freeware software written in perl for Mac OS X 10.4, v1.6 created by THEARTOFWEB - http://www.theartofweb.net - theartofweb@hotmail.com *Naiocast enables live transmission of audio mp3 data. *You can set up your web radio even if your network is behind all sorts of routers/proxies and the rest of that sort. *You can transmit and/or listen in that network environment, business typical, in which there is a blocking firewall that disable all but web traffic, so no streaming is possible. *Naiocast grabs live audio data from Nicecast (broadcasting locally) and makes a POST HTTP connection to your web server. People connect with RealPlayer or iTunes or WinAmp to your web server in order to listen to your live streaming radio. *In order to run naiocast your *nix (Linux, Freebsd, etc) web server must support perl scripts *Upload _naiocast folder to your web server in the root directory in ascii mode (pure text). Set "mediator.pl" and "nph-reader.pl" and "stats.pl" to chmod 755. *Check naiocast on your server with your browser (http://www.yoursite.suffix/_naiocast/mediator.pl) it must says: "Naiocast Mediation Server" *Launch Rogue Amoeba's Nicecast and start broadcasting by pressing START. *Edit Naiocast's HOST.TXT file.
